Character versus Talent

Character is who you are. It is a priceless asset no amount of money can buy.

Talent is what you have. Talent is what takes you to the top.  Character is what makes you stay there.

Irrespective of how much talent one has been gifted with, his bad character will just shoot him down. Bad character is like bad  breath. Everyone will smell it when they draw near.

Great doors have been slammed in the face of very talented people due to their bad character. Sometimes, the only  devil sitting on our destinies is our own character.

What makes a man is not his talent. It's his character. Talent is never enough. Our future depends on how we think, act and speak - our character. How far we will ever go in life depends on our character.

Talent is like a car. Character is the fuel  that drives it. Without character, talent becomes useless!

I agree - one sees this time and time again in all walks of life.

Seen most clearly and obviously in sports - just look at Tendulkar and Kambli ! Salutary lessons there
