Lost/Stolen Phone

Hey, guys.

Someone close to me just had their phone misplaced and apparently stolen. Is there anyway to block the phone from working (for the thief), maybe through IMEI or something?

The device is a Kimfly Android phone and the password security keyguard is active.

I belive you can wipe data from you phone using your Google account

The phone is an older version of Android and doesn't have this feature.
