I am sure there are others who do it. This dude does a good enough job if you wanna sign up. I read the one for Daniel Kahneman's Thinking fast and slow. Check him out.

Okay, will check it out. I too use a different email account for such purposes. Makes no sense using the main one.

About the book summaries, on the fence about it. It would be the from that person's point of view... what he took away from the book and what he found important enough to include. As much as the saving time bit is tempting, I would consider it more of an extended review, and proceed with the complete book.

Don't click on Read the Blog. I signed up using an alternate email id (not my main one, because then they use that to spam you. i never sign up to anything with my main email id). Then when I completed the formalities, I was able to go back to the site and read his book summaries.

But you don't have to read just his book summaries. The net is replete with book summaries of all kinds. I was alluding to book summaries as an idea in general. Especially for non-ficition. Given that there is so much to read, we'll do well with book summaries. If someone summarizes a book well enough for you, it'll do just was well. I mean you'll get there in a couple of hours rather than spend the entire week doing the whole entire book, is what I mean.

Yes. It's (a book summary) just glorified note taking really, isn't it? What works for him may not work for us. But gimme a nicely done synopsis about something, and I'll happily read it. And if I have the time, I'll read the book too.

Book summaries? Synopsis of a book, rather than read the entire book. You read the paraphrased summary  and get the gist, the essence, in a few hours instead of plodding over the tome for days on end.
