Tecno Spark Power 2 arrives with 7" display and a 6,000mAh battery

Last month Tecno launched the Spark 5 budget smartphone and today the company added a new member to the Spark lineup, dubbed Tecno Spark Power 2.

The Tecno Spark Power 2 is powered by the Helio P22 SoC, runs Android 10-based HiOS 6.1 and has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage onboard. It also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot, which allows storage expansion by up to 256GB.

The Spark Power 2 is built around a 7" 20.5:9 display of 1640x720-pixel resolution, which has a notch up top for the 16MP selfie camera. Around the back, you get a quad camera setup aligned vertically in the top-left corner, comprising a 16MP main, 5MP super wide (115° FOV) and 2MP macro units. The fourth module is described as AI Lens which helps with the bokeh effect.


The back of the smartphone is also home to a fingerprint reader which doubles up as a camera shutter button and lets you perform other functions like dismissing alarms and receiving and recording calls.

Other highlights of the Tecno Spark Power 2 include the 3.5mm headphone jack, Dirac-powered dual speaker for stereo sound, and a dedicated Smart Key to summon Google Assistant.

The Tecno Spark Power 2 packs a 6,000 mAh battery which charges through a microUSB port at up to 18W. It is priced at INR9,999 ($130/€115) and has two color options - Ice Jadeite and Misty Grey. It will go on sale in India starting June 23 through Flipkart.
