Hi...
I think you are referring to the book requests in the Reading Room section. It is possible to incorporate an addendum to the rules and recommendations of the thread of book requests, however, it is unlikely that a user will edit their own request indicating that it has been attended or fulfilled, since it also sometimes happens that two or more users request the same book.
Also, reviewing each request and editing it according to, if it has been attended, would demand an additional time that not always one can dispose or destine for that effect.
On the other hand, there are some observations, for example, some users also request books that have already been shared, although it is recommended to make a prior search before writing a request, in those cases, another user can respond to the user requesting, indicating the link that leads to the book.
In general, from the reading of the request thread itself, it is possible to establish if any request has been attended, since the responses to the requests are chronologically subsequent to the requests. If you find a request that you can attend, it is advisable to continue reading the thread of requests from that request, you could find or not, a reply at a short distance.
For some time, all the threads that contain books and that are in response to a request, carry in the respective acknowledgment, an additional indication that contains the year of the thread of requests, the message number of the request and the number of the in response to that request, that information is only referential.
In any case, it is possible to establish your suggestion as an additional recommendation, although not mandatory compliance, since, if this were a rule, it will not be possible to verify promptly compliance with each application or all reports that arise and denounce these cases in particular.
Actually, the least a user (who benefits from the attention and generosity of another user who takes the time to do the previous steps to share the book that the first user requests) can do is to thank the user who shares the book.
As soon as possible, your suggestion will be incorporated, as an additional recommendation.
