I feel the older Indian TV adaptations were better since they did not have the burden of ratings. DD was genuinely content oriented (and a lot controlling) unlike the channels these days that take the "creative liberty" to a whole new level.
Reminds me of Clive Barnes' quote I read the other day. Television is the first truly democratic culture - the first culture available to everybody and entirely governed by what the people want. The most terrifying thing is what people do want.

Definitely Scared Games is a good one and one has hope that all is not lost to stretching-prolonging-unending tale. At least I am eagerly waiting for the second season of Scared Games.
Web series I think have been a boon.
For me it’s always the book. I remember reading the Shining by Stephen King in a an extremely crowded bus and still get scared. I watched the movie starring Jack Nicholson and felt it was a letdown.
Definitely TV series do more justice to books than movies can. Case in point-- i watched the Pride & Prejudice series by BBC and then the movie which stars Kiera Knightley as Eliza Bennet. There is simply no comparision between the 2.
Overall reading far surpasses the visual medium, the power of ones imagination and the beauty and lyrical quality of language to describe a setting is lost in the visual medium and hence the beauty of written word is replaced. I would take reading over watching anyday!
