To tell you the truth, I grew up in a world of books. I used to frequent libraries and devour books as a child the way boys my age would play football. Like many others I tested adventures through child fiction from the Asterix comics, TinTin and others before moving on to Jules Verne, Sherlock Holmes and the like to Non Fiction in general by the time I reached my teens.
I had a huge collection of Encyclopaedia Britannica (1943 edition) along with other very old versions in my twenties and now I just collect all kinds of books on my kindle, hard drives and computers.
As to my first real passion in Non Fiction as a young adult, I would say it was books like Ripleys and the Guinness Book of Records. |
