I use the following-

1. Online convert
2. Zamar
3. Calibre
4. Convert Files

Out of the above, Online convert is good enough, but for some files in my experience only Zamar has never let me down yet.

Calibre, seems to support most formats and comes with metafile information download. All you need. And then you mostly only need to convert to one or two formats anyhow, the ones your ereader supports.
