I like mystery and thriller

For mystery and thriller, you should definitely try Byomkesh Bakshi by Sharadindu Bandupadhyay. Once adopted as TV series by Doordarshan, this character is truly the Indian Counterpart of Sherlock Holmes. Originally written in Bengali, the stories of Byomkesh are translated into English, Hindi and Other Indian Languages as well. Do give them a try if not already, you won't regret it!!!

I definitely recommend Amish Tripathi books if you are interested in mythological thrillers. His Shiva series is really good
