@jhsurti We sure are a diverse bunch The idea is to start a conversation about books.
@pearkyd ...
I'm willing to discuss any book of any genre though I've hardly read any popular authors like Ken Follet, Robert Ludlum or Fredrick Forsyth. I've been meaning to read them at some point, so this is as good time as any other if we're going to discuss any of them.
I am wondering if it'd be a good idea to discuss books from the 'all time best novels' and lists like that are available. This could be a mix of old and contemporary classics like mice and men, catcher in the rye, fahrenheit, clockwork orange, hobbit and such.
Discussing different Indian author books is also a good idea. Most of us might have read Bhagat, Tripathi, Ravi Subramaniam, Ashwin Sanghi... So we could discuss their books too.
Also wondering if short stories would work? There's plenty by bond, rk narayan, hh munro... It'd also be easy to read and join in a discussion if it has not been read before.
Another idea that could bring about a stimulating discussion would be controversial books, though I am not sure if there are many.
