An Era of Darkness by Sashi Tharoor.... Though the book is good, the genre is not a fav of mine

Shantaram, War & Peace, lots of Dickens, The God of Small Things, The Magicians, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children...

Though I'm surprised with that list... some of them are my all time faves and I finished them in a jiffy, and walked around in a daze for days. Heh!

I struggled with Miss Peregrine too, even though it's extremely well written and witty. The trouble I had was visualizing many things in the story. I finished it but I have to admit that I was quite disappointed with how it ended. I'm planning to read the sequel when I get time and see if it's better.
