Good acting by all. Less melodrama. No jingoism

The movie is good per se. The makers have ensured plenty of places for Alia to display her acting skills. But the histrionics at certain places were unnecessary. Besides, she appeared self-conscious most of the time. Vicky Kaushal is such a talented actor, but is underused in the movie.

So, I watched it yesterday finally.

All I can write is just praise about how subtle the telling is. Both lead actors are marvelous and so is the supporting cast. This is certainly a must watch.

It was a good movie albeit quite serious. Alia Bhatt has shown her versality
