So many people have mentioned how good P.G.Wodehouse is... I remember reading this many years ago, but I don't have any fond recollection. I think I should give it a try one of these days. I'll probably appreciate it better now.

As a long time Wodehouse fan, I can certainly agree with those who suggested starting with the Jeeves books, or the Blandings books. I personally like the short stories about Mr. Mulliner and his myriad relatives, and, being a golf nut, I love the golf stories.

The man's output was prodigious ... his first book (The Pothunters, a school story) came out in 1903, and he kept writing till his death in 1975.

It is the same for me with Bill Bryson books. I see people raving about them, but they just don't work for me.

I haven't read his books, though I want to try the 'Short History of Really Everything' one of these days.
What I don't understand is how I have such an underwhelming reaction towards humor considering how rare it is to find a genuinely funny book. I love E.Nesbit's books with its lovely, innocent humor and still read it whenever I get time. Anyways, going to add a couple of Wodehouse books to my ever-growing list of books to read!

You mean "Nearly Everything" and not "Really Everything".

That's on my iPad too. But haven't come to reading it. All these mysteries/thrillers/crime books keep coming my way and the other stuff take a back seat!

I probably did! I only vaguely remember the title. Very true story about other titles taking a backseat with the thrillers doing a fine dance. I've been reading Sacred Games and hope to continue with Red Sparrow and possibly Patang afterwards. By the way, I was surprised to find short recipes after each chapter in Red Sparrow. It was weird but in a good way!

I am reading a lot of mysteries and thrillers too lately thanks to the book club. The TBR is practically bursting at the seams. Too many books, too little time.
