I read a book a day for one week this month and then had to give up due to travel and work. It's difficult but doable. Somehow, whether I read a book slowly or quickly, it's a pleasure all the same so going to give it a try sometime! It'd be a big deal for me if I can manage 30 some month. That'd be good practice for finishing some books from my bucket list.

With a book a day, I wouldn't be able to do anything else! Doable provided that's my profession i.e. I am being paid to do it ;) Anyway, that spoils the fun of reading for me. Too much of a good thing.....
Totally agree with most of above - I read (lots) 100% for pleasure but setting (unreasonable) targets sounds too much like work!!!!
A book a day is just not on - unless you are an experienced speed reader
Reading is for pleasure not to break endurance or speed records
30 in 30 challenge seems a little childish... one can't devour all the different books at the same speed... I can probably finish a alistair Mclean book in an hour or two but one can't do the same with the girl with the dragon tattoo series or a book by Graham Greene or Dostoyevsky or even J Krishnamurti for that matter... I rest my case....

Probably... But I read a lot of YA fiction and it's easy to finish a book in a couple of hours, so it's not like a challenge. I'm not even a speed reader..
