For some reason, comics and magazines has a very weak market in India. I was associated with a child ...

I subscribed to Target. I had a whole bunch of them issues that I stashed away in the attic for the longest time. Then I had to go away for work, and I think mum gave 'em away to the raddi wala or something - can't find them anywhere. (one of the fun things about spring cleaning is when you find an old notebook / textbooks with marginalia and doodles from back in the day, or the odd comic. Stokes nostalgia like no one else's business!)
Target. They did a lovely cover - very colorful. Especially with Ajit's illusrations. I loved that first page full of Ajit's pocket toons (Ajit's funny world?) and detective moochwala, and I got a big kick out of that "Target club". Living in Bombay of old, it wasn't much use because all their acitivities were Delhi based. But having grown up on a steady diet of famous five and secret seven, it was nice to get a badge and a membership card to the "Target club". LOL. and it was so much fun getting something in the mail with your own name on the envelope (besides the annual report card! - which, you opened not with a little dread - so, no, that was not fun!).

The Amar Chitra Kathas and Indrajals can be had off of torrents, but no one seems to have uploaded Targets hitherto - and there is very little chance that anyone might. You might be able to run into the odd scanned page or cover here and there, but not entire magazines. So, that's a bummer!

I was a huge fan of Target! Yes, Ajit's Funny World made my day. Loved Gardhab Das and Detective Moochwala and the short stories. It was such a wonderful magazine, it's a pity it didn't hang on. I struck jackpot when I found a bunch of Target issues for sale on Quickr acouple of years back!!!

LOL. That's all right. Thankfully Ajit is still around, and although he uses a computer for a little of his background work these days, the humor is still, thankfully, intact!

The books are available, but not displayed prominently. Further, the series need to be bound thematically. Will help one read out the stories to the little ones in an order! Also, there acould be premium version of the series in glossy paper/thick paper!
