I remember the days when I was living and working in Singapore during the SARS outbreak in 2003. True, that wasn't a "global pandemic" but there was much fear and chaos, with fingers being pointed at certain ethnic groups. Well, it all eventually died (taking with it many lives), and Singapore had almost forgotten about the outbreak until COVID came along...
So, when will THIS pandemic end ?? I guess only the virus can answer that !! The way I see it - it's like a battle. And the only thing we can do is to "defend" ourselves (be wary, safe, clean, vaccinated, etc.) and hope the "enemy" loses interest and/or runs out of ammunition.
And, of course, pray it doesn't return with deadlier weapons... |
