I want to be away from the epics for some time. So many versions and stories on Ramayana and Mahabha ...

I can somehow agree with you. There's a sudden urge among Indian writers to write fictions based on the epics maybe due to huge sucess of Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown. We can take the examples of Amish Tripathi, Ashwin Sanghi, Christopher C. Doyle etc. However, in my opinion, Mr. Pattnaik is class apart from all of them. His deep knowledge and continuos study in the field really enriches the readers.

Also the book is available at the forum, please ignore my previous comment regarding Google Search.

Anyway thanks for your views. Keep reading and sharing.

Ram by Shri Devdutt Pattanaik. Pattanaik has the unique ability to convey complex ideas in the most straightforward manner and nowhere is it more evident than when he tells the story of Ram.

I'd like to nominate the following:

Evading the Shadows: https://www.craxme.com/forum.php ... ing%2Bthe%2Bshadows

This one is set during the Agyaat Vaas period of the Mahabharat, which seems like an interesting segment to focus on.

Saraswati's Intelligence by Vamsee Julluri (Hanuman and the Vanara society before they are introduced to Ram -- not yet available on the forum)

Avishi by Saiswaroopa Iyer

Off late reading a lot of books on both Mahabharata and Ramayana. Getting a bit monotonous. So I am out this time

Recommend 'Double or Quits' by Shilpa Gupta, a book not yet available here but on Kindle Unlimited. The book gives an uncommon insight on the Indian equity research and capital markets in the fictional form.
