I wont suggest anyone to go for Whey Protein. I have many friends who used to workout at Gym and were recommended Whey Proteins for muscle building. I am a sportsman and was not too much into gymming but more into athletics, Squash etc.
After about a year of usage of Whey Proteins, 3 of 4 guys developed Kidney stones. They all are from different background and different cultures. Only common thread was usage of Whey protein of a brand listed by you.
Now all are off proteins and have used various meds to get rid of stones by drinking lots of water etc. Avge stone size was 3-4mm and so no serious treatment is reqd at this stage. Drs have opined that if the stones don;t grow in size then it is safe to drink lots of fluid.
I was also part of the group but never took proteins but only ate boiled eggs (4-5 daily) including yellow portion and have no side-effects.
So don;t go blindly for whey protein if it is not required. Use traditional methods to build your body.
Can't speak for Whey protein supplements specifically, but the huge jars of protein supplement being newly sold in India in dedicated shops always struck me as a little suspect. It takes more effort, but upping your protein and reducing carbs can be done by eating natural foods. This is just my experience.
Avoid these like the plague - no quick fixes in life. Look at your overall diet and make it protein rich. We can learn from the old school Indian wrestlers and their habits
