[Suggestion] Edit request posts after the request has been fulfilled

I'm not sure if I had suggested this before, but here goes. Once an request is fulfilled, the requesting member or Mod should edit the request post and add that the request has been fulfilled. I don't know about others but I have had this several times where I spent a lot of timelooking around for the requested book, only to find at the time of posting later, that the request has already been fulfilled. I think on a couple of occassions, it also led to what was 'technically' a 'repost' by me.
I know, before posting, I can site search myself to see if the request has already been uploaded, but I still think its not too much of ask of the requesting member do that himself and save time for someone willing to search and upload; that's the least that he can and should do.
I suggest editing a request post once the request has been fulfilled, should be made a rule of requesting.

NoOne + 10 Great suggestion, that was on my mind too!
Pedro_P + 25 Interesting suggestion.
Rhett_Bassard + 25 Great idea. Requestors should update, not mods.

As you write, "it's the least the requestor can do."
The problem begins with the word "least". For many leeches, "least" defines their culture, particularly their courtesy towards benefactors.
@Pedro_P in his experience and wisdom as a mod has posted a solution several times:
show acknowledgement and gratitude by using PM and the "Rate" button/link.
Sadly, as this lack of courtesy grows on the CM site, it defeats the concept of community and weakens the site's reputation. #FixItOrLoseIt

Hi...
I think you are referring to the book requests in the Reading Room section. It is possible to incorporate an addendum to the rules and recommendations of the thread of book requests, however, it is unlikely that a user will edit their own request indicating that it has been attended or fulfilled, since it also sometimes happens that two or more users request the same book.
Also, reviewing each request and editing it according to, if it has been attended, would demand an additional time that not always one can dispose or destine for that effect.
On the other hand, there are some observations, for example, some users also request books that have already been shared, although it is recommended to make a prior search before writing a request, in those cases, another user can respond to the user requesting, indicating the link that leads to the book.
In general, from the reading of the request thread itself, it is possible to establish if any request has been attended, since the responses to the requests are chronologically subsequent to the requests. If you find a request that you can attend, it is advisable to continue reading the thread of requests from that request, you could find or not, a reply at a short distance.
For some time, all the threads that contain books and that are in response to a request, carry in the respective acknowledgment, an additional indication that contains the year of the thread of requests, the message number of the request and the number of the in response to that request, that information is only referential.
In any case, it is possible to establish your suggestion as an additional recommendation, although not mandatory compliance, since, if this were a rule, it will not be possible to verify promptly compliance with each application or all reports that arise and denounce these cases in particular.
Actually, the least a user (who  benefits from the attention and generosity of another user who takes the time to do the previous steps to share the book that the first user requests) can do is to thank the user who shares the book.
As soon as possible, your suggestion will be incorporated, as an additional recommendation.

@Pedro_P "In general, from the reading of the request thread itself, it is possible to establish if any request has been attended, since the responses to the requests are chronologically subsequent to the requests."

That's right Pedro and that's what I end up doing often. But imagine, as a person trying to fulfill a request at, say page 20; he has to read each post from each page, page 20 onwards till the last page, say page 26, just to check if the request is fulfilled and closed. Some days, I first search for the requested book using CM search engine, then I do a Google Site Search for CM and then I go looking through page after page of the request thread, just to be doubly sure that I haven't missed any fulfillment post. It's worse where the requested book is by a popular author - since the CM search works through the thread titles, I have to first search for the author name, then check the entire thread - its original post and subsequent added posts to find out if a specific book by that particular author has not been posted already.
For me, that's not very encouraging if I want to respond to a request, so I hope that's something you'd consider some day in future if you think its appropriate. Maybe a recommendation to that effect, as you replied, might take the shape of a rule with use over time.

Rhett_Bassard + 20 Leeches need to read this, i.e. what uploaders do for them.
