What do you guys think are the reasons for the crushing Defeat of BJP in Hindi belt?

Well, it's not news anymore.

In My State (chhattisgarh), BJP was preparing it's armor and lances and swords and shields, for a 65+ target. Amit Shah literally gave the slogan "Mission 65+". Instead, the opposition, Congress, got that number. For many people, it's the most unexpected reversal from all the 5 states. In Rajsthan and M.P., it was an even match (comparatively speaking). In former, it's more or less the norm, the interchangability every 5 years. So I guess I wasn't much surprised. But in M.P. it was tooth and nail fight and in C.G; it wasn't even a fight.

What'd you people think about it? Was it ego? Or was it anti-incumbency? Or 'Bheetar-ghat' as they call it? Bad social media campaigning? Russian Interference?  . Rahul finally getting out of it's 'Chota Bheem fan' image? Or Modi losing his 'Chay wala Primeminister' Charm? Or was it inevitable?

It was inevitable considering that the states Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh were under BJP rule for 15 years. Still considering the 109 seats that BJP won in M.P. it was a bitter competition till the end.

I want to add something slightly digressing from the topic.

I would call BJP's  chattisgarh performance a shocker. The most surest victory expected even by Anti BJP people for BJP was in chattisgarh. BJP completely misunderstood the impact of BSP and jogi front. They didn't misunderstood it, they just thought it will cot votes of congress and benefit them but reverse happened and it will force BJP to to back to drawing board to sketch a strategy for 2019 elections.
The performance of BJP in Rajasthan came as a pleasant surprise for most as BJP was just 0.5 % behind congress in vote share even though Vasundhara Raje govt didn't enjoy the popular support. This was also seen in seat count where Congress couldn't cross the majority mark on its own but had to rely on independents and BSP. From its performance BJP  be assured of a one sided victory in Rajasthan region in 2019 as Modi enjoys popular support which will translate into 3-4 % rise in vote share.

In case of MP it was a fight till the last moment with its ups and down and Both BJP and congress went home happy former leading in total no of voted(it got 0.1% votes more than congress) while later leading in no of seats(congress got 114 seat to BJP's 109 in a 230 member house). The congress formed govt in mp with crunches from BSP, SP and independents but it forgot to make them ministers and I believe Amit shah may play some chess in MP before 2019 .
  
Expect in Chattisgarh BJP can rest assured that it can repeat its performance in other states. But BJP has to bring development to the table which seems to have been lost somewhere. Reform must be done to entice more FDI and rules must be simplified as finally it all comes down to improvement in life of common people.

I would say,
1. Rajasthan is a swing state and the outgoing CM was not popular among the masses which led to the defeat of BJP in that state. Having said that, getting near to congress in stats tally is great achievement for the BJP.
2. For MP, I would say it was largely due to anit incumbency of 15 years.
3. Chattisgarh is an enigma. May be anti-incumbency or Ego. Can't comment on this.
