Key parties focus on booths for poll gain

JODHPUR: This election would be interesting to observe as booths have emerged as the pivot of political campaigning. Both the key parties have realized the importance of booths in elections and BJP, unlike Congress, has put its entire might in strengthening its booths across the state. Win Election’, our party has used booths as centres of contact with the voters, both in person and through social media.
The main objective of the exercise will be to apprise the voters of various government projects and schemes.
Congress city president Saeed Ansari said his party has also been focusing on booths and booth-level committees have been formed. Campaigning could gain momentum with former chief minister Ashok Gehlot arriving in Jodhpur on Tuesday on a three-day visit.
District Congress spokesperson Ajay Trivedi said that Gehlot’s visit will be aimed at working on finalizing names of candidates from Jodhpur which will help mobilize party workers for campaigning. Congress’ main focus will be on Soorsagar and city constituencies.
