Need to open a few threads to newcomers

Hello,

I am a newcomer, and joined recently. I found that to access anything, I have to have a few posts/threads and some time on the forum.

The issue is that none of the topics that interest me have any scope to add thread/reply etc. I was thinking of adding a few books which I have and which weren't available on this forum, but seems like I am not allowed.

So sad to find this. I suggest, there must be a few avenues to post something new, even if you wish to restrict downloads to newcomers.

Probably, I am not coming back.
