If you are open to literature, I would suggest Raag Darbari by Shrilal Shukla.

The contemporary satires I can recall right now are the Unreal series and The Great Indian Novel by Shashi Tharoor.

Yes, Raag Darbari is a treat to read right from the first sentence. The Great Indian Novel by Tharoor was also quite interesting.

There probably are, but the new age ones did not work for me much. Mrs. Funnybones, Corpokshetra, and the likes.

There are a few Hindi authors you can check out.... Kaka Hathrasi and Harishankar Parsai. But I haven't been able to find their works in digital formats.

Kaka hathrasi and Shail Chaturvedi were in my opinion overrated and have not really appreciated there work. But yes Harishankar Parsai and in particular Sharad Joshi were my favourite, but that was an era ago. No longer will we get those books, spl in digital format.

I would like to read something more lighter, like comedy or humour rather than satire. If possible in english...

I had liked Aisle be damned

Just uploaded it.... No nonsense senseless book for a good light read

Aisle Be Damned by Rishi Piparaiya
