Error while trying to upload avatar

Hi

I wanted to change my avatar from the default. So went to Settings->Modify Avatar->Browse. I selected a jpg file for my avatar but I got "I/O Error occur during upload" error. So what am I doing wrong? The jpg file is 168 KB.

Request help.

Cannot upload a screenshot also. Gives the same I/O Error during upload!

Now I don't get any option to modify the avatar. No browse button. Nothing!
