The book was really absorbing murder mystery without a dull moment. Quite enjoyed reading it. This is the first book I read of Salil Desai, and I cannot wait to read his other books.

What stood out for me was that the characters were real. After reading non-fictions for a while, it is nice to read an Indian thriller.

Mousetrap, I agree about the sexist remark. It was really not required.

Those who are reading the book, please check in so that we have an idea.

Going forward, we can have a list of people who would be participating in the group read.

Yes, a very gripping story well told. A page-turner. Saralkar and Motkar are so real! With their own weaknesses and strengths. I had already been introduced to the duo in the debut novel "Killing Ashish Karve". Have liked them since. I was a bit put off towards the end. Perhaps, it could have been managed in a different way.

You only have a couple of hours to go. Would probably make it on the next update.

I had already read Desai's The Murder of Sonia Raikkonen so kind of knew the characters well.Agreed it is very gripping till the end and is interesting but somehow i didn't like this story much, was very dark. And agree with Mousetrap regarding the sexist remark at the end, it was uncalled for.I simply hated Anushka's character.

For those with Kindle Unlimited subscription, this book is available there as well. Consider using that if unable. The book was good but far from Hercule Poirot/Sherlock Homes type of books

Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes are incomparable. This one though manages to hold its own where Indian authors are concerned.
