Its not just comics, print as a medium is shrinking. The problem is exasperated in case of comics due to unavailability of funds required to sustain this genre. none of the major media house is willing to put any funds. There is no dearth of creative talent but they also need to reinvent according to changing time and preferences of current audiences who unlike us have access and exposure to the likes of Marvel and DC series. I am sure if money is invested in this genre there are enough and more takers for it especially in the vernacular languages, I mean we all have read Hindi comics with equal fervour

I still them online and so does my son. We got a few for him from the temple and whenever we visit India. He loves them and we think Hanuman can beat Batman, any day of the week.

Yeah. Its disturbing. My childhood was spent reading Chacha Chaudhary, Phantom, Mandrake. I often got scolded for reading too much comic books. But now my kid doesn't wants to read comics. He is more interested in playing games on his mobile

Certainly read the ACK comics as a kid, but my first love was the Walt Disney comics, along with Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny / Daffy Duck / Road Runner etc., the Hanna Barbera comics, and the Harvey comics - Richie Rich, Little Dot, Little Lotta, Sad Sack ... the list was endless. My aunts and uncles had collections of these comics in bound volumes, and I used to devour them during the holidays. Sigh ... those were the days

I do seem to remember seeing glossy reprints of ACK at Odyssey in Chennai ... but I'll have to go back and confirm that.
