"It's important to know that less than 1% of all missing children have been abducted by strangers."
For this reason, police procedure often waits 48 hours to register a missing person.
Think maturely before accusing police of doing nothing. Try not to alienate those pledged to help you.
The majority of the missing are in fact runaways, but seldom do the accusers admit to previous occasions of runaway, challenges with parents, or youthful infatuations.
Good, factual news: "We want you to know that 90% of these children who were abducted by strangers are located and returned home safely."

Poster's Comment:
The facts above appear based on USA data. Sure, your country is different, maybe twice as different, i.e. 2% are abducted by strangers.
The issue still appears family-related or lack of parent, not geo or financial.
Additionally, the ugly truth behind missing black girls in Washington, DC, USA.
While some have tried to make it a race or sexism issue, the facts expose neither those nor abduction.
"You would think Boko Haram had invaded D.C., but the story about 14 girls missing in one day turned out to be fake news!
It's because dealing with the "why" will expose the ugly truth about the epidemic of anger and abuse taking place in most single, black, female-headed households. It's easier to scapegoat than to face the real reason why black kids are running away from their mothers in droves."
