Lets take a Mostly used application i.e. UC Browser.
We have to add a shortcut of UC Browser to the main menu.
P.S.: You need to have a ".jad" file of your application.
Step-1: Connect your Nokia Phone to your PC through a USB data cable and select "Nokia Ovi Suite"
Step-2: Open MobiMB, Connect your Phone and browse "C:/Hidedenfolder/Menus/".
On that folder you can see a file named "menusettings.xml"
Copy that file to any folder.
Now browse to that folder where you have stored your UC Browser.
Find the ".jad" file i.e. "UCBrowser_V9_5.jad" . Now copy this jad file to the same folder.
Step-3: Open that folder where you have copied that two files.
Now open "menusettings.xml" with NotePad. Look for "<nativelinks>". Then you will see like this.
Add a new line at the end of the nlinks with a new "id", like
<nlink id="11">localapp://jam/launch?midlet-vendor=Vendor;midlet-name=Name</nlink>
We have to replace "Vendor" and "Name" with our desire app's exact Name and Vendor.
Now open the "UCBrowser_V9_5.jad" with NotePad in a new window.
Copy MIDlet-Name, i.e. Copy "UC Browser"
Paste it in the place of "Name" like this
P.S.: If there is any space in the new name , replace that space with "%20". So we will paste "UC%20Browser" in the place of name.
Open the jad file again and copy MIDlet-Vendor i.e. copy "UC Mobile"
Paste it in the place of "Vendor". Like this
P.S.: If there is any space in the new vendor name , replace that space with "%20". So we will paste "UC%20Mobile" in the place of vendor.
Now Look for "menuitem". You will see a table like this.
Now add a new line at any place of that table. Write this on that new line
<menuitem nlink="11" />
idS.: If nlink="11" do not works, you can use <menuitem id="11" /> or <menuitem nlink-id="11" />.
Here "11" is the "id" of the new "nlink" we added very first.
Now save this file.
Step-4: Open MobiMb and paste the new file i.e. paste new "menusettings.xml" on "C:/Hidedenfolder/Menus/".
Step-5: Exit MobiMb. Disconnect your phone from pc and restart your phone.
Its Done.
