The Samsung Galaxy A71s 5G UW has been given the go-ahead by the FCC. The phone, model name SM-A716V, will be a Verizon exclusive in the US and feature mmWave support over the regular A71 5G phone.

Interestingly, the dimensions of the device are given as 151.7 mm tall and 69.1 mm wide. That’s too small – the Galaxy A71 5G measures 162.5 x 75.5 mm, which is about the same size as the 4G A71. Even the Galaxy A51 5G is taller and wider at 158.9 x 73.6 mm.

Anyway, the Galaxy A71s 5G UW will have two mmWave antennas and will support two mmWave bands (n260 and n261), plus three sub-6 GHz bands (n2, n5 and n66).

The phone's mmWave capabilities are courtesy of the Snapdragon 765G chipset (as seen in Geekbench, the chipset is code named "lito"). For comparison, the 4G model has an S730 chipset while the A71 5G uses an Exynos 980.

It’s not clear when it will be officially unveiled, but it has all the necessary certifications (including from the Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance). We do know that it will be joined by a Galaxy A51 5G UW, it also passed through Geekbench  recently.
