Well, I am in the same boat as you. more working hours a day and sometimes on weekend too.

Well, it's not so much like that... I didn't sell my soul to the devil ... Maybe in the big corporations, where the maximization of the owner's wealth is the supreme end.
But, reality is far from than one can imagine, moreover, many times reality surpasses fiction... The truth is, that the business world is very wide, and one can be an entrepreneur having only one cart selling sausages, or, having a factory... Being an entrepreneur means taking a risk and some times, losing everything; as always I said, to do business you basically need two things: sense of smell and guts (bravery and determination)... Sense of mell, to know how to recognize opportunities; and guts, to risk starting that business.
Certainly, one will also need to have enough knowledge, but something is not always undertaken knowing what one is getting into... One can succeed or fail, but the important thing is to learn from both situations, have the ability to change and improve continuously.
Forensic and criminological sciences are very interesting, nowadays, with all the technological advances in this regard, it is very difficult that, there are unsolved crimes... On the other hand, it seems that there will always be crimes, so, work will never be missing... But as far as possible, try not to depend on anyone and consolidate your independence (professional, economic and personal).
Starting a business of your own is the path to that independence, although it is almost never an easy path, especially when you build something from zero.
