Nokia 6 just started receiving the Android  7.1.2 Nougat updatealong with October Security update. So, while many expect Nokia 3, 5 and 8 to receive the update too; it seems at least Nokia 8 won’t be updating to Android 7.1.2 Nougat.
But if our sources with information about upcoming Nokia Phones updates have to be believed Nokia 8 would directly update to Android Oreo. It will skip Android 7.1.2 Nougat. The update may soon arrive and we will not be surprised if Nokia 8 gets the Oreo update by end of the October to early November.
Android Oreo is a significant update that brings many new features and also a number of improvements in the Android user experience.
