With Game of Thrones final season shaping up, fans of the hit TV show around the world can’t wait for its release. Although it is a bittersweet moment as the show is about to end, the excitement around the most-loved HBO show has been only rising. Now, harping on to that buzz, US President Donald Trump too used it to make an announcement about sanctions on Iran. But contrary to anything related to GOT, it was shunned by all. Not just Netizens but even the network and its stars.

The POTUS and the White House shared a picture referencing the hit RR Martin show, which showed Trump with a message, “Sanctions are coming,” and the date November 5, in the show’s title’s format.

The message came after the Trump administration announced it would reinstate sanctions on Iran removed under the 2015 nuclear deal. “The United States has launched a campaign of economic pressure to deny the regime the funds it needs to advance its bloody agenda!” the official White House tweeted much similar to the “bloody plot” of the hit series.

The tweet definitely did not impress HBO or its actors. Taking to Twitter, the show’s broadcasting channel wrote, “How do you say trademark misuse in Dothraki?” However, no reference to Trump or his tweet was made. “We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes,” said HBO in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
