Agar tum saath ho! (Tamasha)

This song is very famous for its melody, soulful playback and the deep meaning.

One who comprehends the context of this song will know that it is a argument between the BRAIN of VED and HEART of TARA.
The FACT is that the above is illustrated not only through lyrics but also through their COSTUMES.

Deepika aka Tara is wearing RED, the colour of HEART.

Ved aka Ranbir is wearing Cream Beige, the colour of BRAIN.

At a point, Tara caresses Ved’s hair which shows that the heart is stimulating the brain.(Imtiaz Ali=Genius)

The Hindi film music industry is a strange beast. RJs have turned actors and composers are excellent cooks too. If your jaw has not dropped already, here are a few more facts stranger than fiction that make up this industry.

The Khalnayak (1993) song ‘Choli Ke Peeche’ was protested against by at least 42 political parties.

In the songs ‘Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hain‘from ‘Dhadkan (2000), title song of Deewane (2000) and ‘Neend Churayi Meri‘ from Ishq (1997) we see the coming together of arch rivals Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan.

The only time in the history of any Indian award, when the best female playback singer award was shared - was between Ila Arun and Alka Yagnik for ‘Choli Ke Peeche’ in Khalnayak (1993)

The song 'Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon' in the film by the same name is the longest Hindi film song. The length of the song is 20 minutes and the song is featured in three instalments in the film.

Mere Khwaboon Mein Jo Aaye' was the first song to be recorded for Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995). Aditya Chopra rejected 24 verses by Anand Bakshi before approving the final one

Amitabh Bachchan's famous song 'Khai ke paan banaraswala' was not originally made for the 1978 movie Don. In fact, it was actually made for another movie and for another actor. Not many know that the film Don was initially declared a flop but this song became a rage and people flocked to the theatres to see the movie. It became a Golden Jubilee. Today, the film has cult status!

It so happened that Don's filmmaker Chandra Barot had completed the film and was giving the final touches on post production. He showed the movie to Manoj Kumar, his mentor. Manoj Kumar liked the film but said that it was too fast paced in the second half and a song was required to give it some breathing space.
Chandra Barot approached the film's music directors, Kalyanji Anandji, for a solution. Incidentally, the younger brother of Kalyanji Anandji, Babla, was present there at that time. He suggested the usage of a song that was made by Kalyanji Anandji for another movie.
The movie was Dev Anand's Banarasi Babu and the song was Khai ke paan banaraswala, which was penned by lyricist Anjaan. Dev Anand hadn't liked the song and thought it did not go with his image. So, the song was not taken for that movie and it was still in the collection of Kalyanji Anandji.
Chandra Barot listened to the song and thought it was a perfect fit for the character of Vijay, played by Amitabh Bachchan. Chandra added this song to Don and it changed the movie's fortunes!
