Is the book a part of the series? Was it a recommendation? Or one that you picked since it piqued your interest?

How did you discover the book you are currently reading?

I stumbled upon the book while browsing the readers room. I generally read two books at simultaneously, one was part of a series and the other was a standalone one

I am currently reading "Palace of Treason" by Jasom Matthews. It's #2 in a Red Sparrow Trilogy. Actually I saw the movie Red Sparrow after watching its nomination in Oscars in some category. The movie was not that great but the plot interested me and that is how I looked for the book and found out it's a trilogy. That's how I came to be reading it. And #2 is better than #1. And one of the reviewers said #3 is even better. I am enjoying it.

That sounds interesting. Haven't watched the movie, but I'd love a book better. Will check it out.

Often it is another book by an author that I have already read and liked. For those books I actively search to see if they have anything new or something I have missed.

For new authors, I would be interested in how others find the book/author. For me it is often suggestions from friends, but I will occasionally search specific genres in Goodreads and see what people say about certain authors. When I see something interesting I'll give it a go. The problem is many of the books look interesting.

In my case, I'm curious with the book that mentioned or use as a reference in the book which I'm currently reading.
