We have been discussing about books (and about reading habits), but the book discussions has been limited and scattered.
How about picking and discussing a book most of us have already read? It could be a myth fic, a thriller, a YA, a non fiction, or one that has been in the news for the wrong reasons. Are you guys interested? Do share your thoughts and the book(s) you are interested in discussing.
I'd be glad to join in, though I'd have to reread any book before the discussion. Also, how do we decide on a book that everyone has read? Will it be a voting system too?

We can have a vote based on the responses. The idea is to discuss books that have already been read, unlike group reads where we decide to read a book together.
I can glean quite a few from the discussions in the book club, particularly myth fics. Or we can go with bestsellers.
Just to name a few
When Breath Becomes Air: Do people find it depressing or life affirming? How hard is it for a doctor to deal with his own mortality? I have seen that from close quarters.... my dad was a doctor.
A Man Called Ove: Is it a morbid tale of an old man attempting to kill himself?
Asura: Is it okay to justify the actions of a negative character? Or is it about "history is written by the winners"?
The Shiva Trilogy: What is it about the series that it is still on the best seller list?
Game of Thrones: There is an awful lot to discuss here.

Maybe we could first decide on the genre and the people interested in that particular genre can together narrow down some books that most have read and then proceed from there and then every week could be dedicated to a different genre.
That way no particular genre will dominate the discussions otherwise from what I have seen most of the votes would be won by mythological fiction since that seems to be the most popular genre around here.
