Books vs Movies based on the books- Which is better ?

I have always believed that books are way better than watching the movie based on the book. I feel you are curbing your imagination when watching the movie. When you read you have your imagination at work and you can connect with the author. You create your own world for that book. In movie you are watching the book from the film makers perspective, its his world, hs interpretation of the book.

IF YOU READ A BOOK FIRST, YOU WOULD ALWAYS TRY TO RELATE THAT TO THE MOVIE, WHERE THE DIRECTOR MIGHT TAKE HIS OWN IMAGINATION/WAY OF LOOKING INTO PERSPECTIVE WHILE CREATING THE MOVIE, WHICH MAY DIFFER FROM YOUR PERSPECTIVE, AND MAY NOT LIKE IT
