Hello, could someone here please suggest me authentic translations for Vedas, Upnishads and Puranas to read? I am a little skeptical of buying English translation as most of the time the meaning is lost whilst translating from Sanskrit to English.

Does anyone here has any suggestions on the same?

I am also looking for the same. Also translations of ancient jyotish texts would be a great help.

If you can read hindi, I recommend puranas(at least some of them) by the geetha Press gorakhpur. Press closed but site was open . more than direct translations would not commentaries serve you better?

I want the translation along with the commentaries. With English translation half the meaning is lost whilst translation. About Geeta Press, is it authentic? I have heard about Bhaktiveda Publication too, is it any good?

The Puranas are more or less available with little or no interpolations. But with Vedas and Upnishads, given the translation is tough, it is kind of difficult to say which one is authentic.

Yes, translation with examples & dome details will be useful.  Ramesh menon books are useful but not covers each dohas in the same form.

there is vedpuran.com. reportedly good. divine lfe society has a few publications on upanishads. not really sure of numbers with commentary of course. on the literary part, noone can guarantee. why? take a text like bhagavad geetha-both adi sankara and ramanuja have their own interpretation

I used to have a complete English translation of all the 17 puranas. They had the whole set of stories that were there in the puranas. I remember downloading it almost 7 or 8 years back. Will surely check if I have it so that I can post it here.
