I'm generally not a big fan of anime/manga style but I love the 'Amulet' series by Kazu Kibuishi. The characters are in manga and graphic novel style.

I used to watch One Piece but after college I lost track of it so I started reading the Manga. I do read it from time to time. I have also read most of the Sandman Comics from by Neil Gaiman.
