Hi

I have some books which are paperback. Could you let me know a way to convert it into a soft format like mobi or epub or pdf?

Thanks

The best bet is to use Cam scanner or something like it to convert it to PDF. It will however be an image based pdf and will convert to image based epub or mobi or whatever with limited resolution and a very large size. Converting text from image shall have a lot of errors and will not be of much help. My 2 bits.

For those in India, is there a affordable scanner or device which can scan physical books quickly without having to turn pages?

There is no such device for turning the pages in order to convert the physical page into an electronic file version.
Best results I so far have achieved is working together with a friend, one turns the page, the other scans it and so on ...
It is a lenghty process that doesn't make fun!

Any idea how do people get files in the first place? Are all scans from physical books or are some cracked ebook files?
