If you feel your touch screen is not working well, you can try to fix it using Android calibration before stepping to the service center. You can simply calibrate your touch sensor using a calibrating app. Some of the smartphones come with built-in features and you can usually find it under Device Settings. If you have an idea to use the calibration app, it's better to have root access as such apps work better on rooted smartphones.
