Thanks for the suggestion, but the source has since been taken down.
As to the reasons, the decisions to ban them may be just as hilarious as some of the names themselves are said to be.
There were also more names on the list, but I was not sure if the article would be seen as interesting so I just put in a few instead of the full number and range.
Metallica was banned because the government did not want local people to name their children after musicians.
Robocop was banned because the government did not want its people to be named after American movie characters.
Harriet was banned because it contained some alphabetical letters not recognised by the government.
Full Stop was banned because it was not regarded as a proper name.
Another name that I can remember that has also been banned include-
Sarah (Morocco). This was banned because it sounds like a Hebrew name, so a compromise exists. Parents can name their children with the same pronunciation but with a different spelling, 'Sara'.
