Do not despair... I studied masters in finance outside my country and full time, with classes from Monday to Saturday, sometimes some Sunday mornings, for a year and a half and I did not die trying.
The best way to perform multiple tasks and that are very demanding, is to know how to organize oneself... I still remember a huge sheet of cardboard that covered the wall of my room, with the schedules of the courses... I used to have lunch sometimes sitting on the stairs of the business school, waiting for classes to begin, then running out to another classroom to receive another course... It was a time of great turmoil, few hours of sleep and red eyes from so much reading and write reports.
Organization is the key word to not go crazy, and also a little patience and good humor.
Never a steep mountain climbs in a straight line, you have to ascend the mountain in a zigzag and horizontally, so that takes a lot time, but it is less tiring... When I felt tired, I simply lit a cigarette on the terrace of the dormitory building and breathed the fresh air coming from the sea, a few minutes of total relaxation.
It's funny, because I studied the master's degree thinking that I would work in finance, but in the end, I never exercised that function professionally, instead, it did help me to start my own business... And in that sense, all the efforts were worth it... |
