We have all read books from American and British Authors on Intelligence agencies, anti terrorist hit squads and so on. what impresses most is the amount of research being put in to come with a story based on some amount of hard facts and how these clandestine agencies work (whatever they care to share with public).
I would give the author full marks for the research he has put in for this venture and at no point it looks filmsy. References to some actual events and places add to the zip in this fast pace book. The plot is simple yet worked with immaculately precision, some juicy action sequences. It does drag a bit in the second half and I believe we could have cut down on few unnecessary distractions while adding few more action sequences. It is a good book to read and met my expectations in terms of language, setting and research too.
I would give 3.5 / 5 ratings for the same. Link for accessing the book is as below.
*P.S. I finished reading this book yesterday and was planning to write a review when my dear friend @viksorion posted his views at the below link. I am including his views in the thread, below is a link for the same https://www.craxme.com/thread-12790-1-1.html
Highly recommended.
Firstly the author has done a wonderful groundwork before he ventured into the writing part. His command over the language is commendable, considering that this is his first book and he's still a college going undergraduate. The research work is immense and authentic.
About the story it starts wonderfully, a little filmy at times but still gripping and make believe plausible plot. The building up is also good.
The characters are well defined and you can relate to the personalities.
Second half goes slightly awry, specially with unnecessary love angle thrown in and a couple of over the head dramatic episodes. Those could have been avoided.
Balochistan per say is a relatively hushed up matter both from Pakistan and Indian side though due to totally opposite reasons. The plight of the Balochis has been brought out with all the intensity and the geopolitical games the countries play bring to the fore the mentality of these countries.
The author says he is inspired by Hussain Zaidi (Mumbai Avengers) and calls him his mentor, but I'll say he's outdone his mentor. Hope he keeps on writing such wonderful novels in the future too
you should move to the new readers club, this club will cease to exist in couple of months. All new reviews and lots of other cool things are there only
