I remember reading about him when he became Head of State. He said that at the time of partition he was 22 years old and had no interest in politics.

When he heard that Nehru had just been appointed as PM, little did he realise that throughout the 1950s he would be arguing against him [respectfully] as a politician in parliament.

A great human being whom I met in Person and have discussion on different subjects. No doubt a great Politician, writer, speaker and above all a great human being , a truly down to earth person. He will always be fondly remembered. AN era of good politics has passed away with his departure.

Since my childhood, I remained spell bound by the towering personality & oratory proficiency of this great person.  I used to attend all his meeting in Patna & wait for hours to just hear him. Pray God to give all of us strength to bear such immense losses to thus world.
