What type of book cover do you like?

It also depends on themes. If a book is about something where you expect illustrative colour photos, pictures it may not be enticing to see the cover is plain.

Similarly a front cover with so much gloss, design and fantasy is unlikely to be relevant to an undergraduate student's testbook.

I agree with Rushcourt71. It depends on the book.

If I have to pick strictly on basis of cover design, I would go with illustrative covers.

Here we are not talking about the quality of books based on covers but are talking about the covers only. I also know that appearances could be misleading

An illustrative cover always catches my attention and it can make me know more about the story I read
