Mythological retelling

As a huge fan of mythology, I always love retelling. They bring some new perspective which we may have overlooked. Some of my fav retellings are The song of Achilles, Thirteenth Day, Palace of illusions etc.

thirteenth day of war by aditya iyengar is one I absolutely love...Ashok Banker is also something I adore in field of mythology

The Aryavarta Chronicles Series by Krishna Udayashankar is good.

Devdutt Pattnaik books & its analysis always gives me a new insight added once I read the original book.

I would go with Rick Riordan as well. I've never come across a funnier way to describe the Greek or Northern mythology. It's sometimes close to hillarious but still preserves the core.
